This is the final section of the preliminary bibliography on the history of art materials (see part I, AATA Volume 7, No. 3 and part II, AATA Volume 7, No. 4). Brief introductory comments by the compiler indicate that most abstracts are based on secondary sources, and most books have not been quoted first hand. Books devoted simply to instruction in painting are omitted. References are listed chronologically, and there is an author index following the abstracts.
