A collection of embroidery work, executed by nuns in northern Germany during the late Middle Ages, is on exhibition in Hannover. Most of the articles are priests' vestments, made from wool or linen fabrics embroidered with gold and silver threads, fresh water, or glass pearls, and pieces of coral. -- AATA
