Abstract
Describes the use of the proton-induced x-ray emission (PIXE) spectrometry equipment as an aid to reconstruction of ancient processes of bronze production. Specific reference is made to the PIXE facility of the Bartol Research Institute, Delaware University, Newark, USA, modified to allow both general and selective analysis. Application are discussed from published work and for samples of an ore from Northern Peru. Figures, 19 bibliographic references. -- ICCROM
