Lead isotope ratios of archaeological glass samples from China and Japan were determined by surface ionization mass spectrometry. All of the glass samples were made of high lead glass except one which was alkali-lime glass. Based on the isotope ratios, the origin of the glass samples and the ores used in making the glass were determined. -- AATA
