Abstract
The moratoria is a bowl-like vessel with a spout, and an inner surface studded with grit. During the first and second centuries, Roman moratoria were imported into south-east Britain and then domestically produced and frequently stamped with potters' names or trademarks Emission spectra were surveyed for analytical differences between the products of potters whose kilns have been located, and for consistency in composition of the products of individual potters.
