Abstract
In order to overcome the disadvantage of traditional destructive analytical techniques for pigment identification of colored relics, a new kind of fiber reflectance spectrophotometer has been developed. With this apparatus, pigments on colored relics in Xi’an and Chongqing areas have been measured with reliable results. A quick and simple non-destructive method for identifying relic pigments was thus established, which possessed extensive application potential in cultural heritage protection field.
