Abstract
Reports the rapid decay of marble on a modern facade. The action of rainwater on the slabs preferentially affects calcite, while areas of chlorite are deteriorated by frost. Pyrite is not attacked. Frost and salt resistance tests in the laboratory did not confirm the field experience.
