Abstract
Three products were tested to preserve the stone materials of the San Petronio Church (Bologna): a) acrylic polymer-silicone, b) acrylic polymer, c) mixture of acrylic polymer and silicone. When used on very compact materials (Istria and Verona stones) all the products act as protectives. The decrease of porosity is better with the treatment c.
