This essay describes resistance concerning transformations of solid substances, as well as gases and liquids. Transformations are described of the first and second magnitude, relative velocity of transformations of homogeneous systems, reaction resistance, and equations concerning specific resistance. Tarnishing of metals, oxidation and crystallization, experimental conditions on the creation of oxidation, and the influence of humid air on copper, zinc, and iron are described. Experiments with copper and silver are discussed.
