Abstract
Four analytical techniques were investigated: emission spectroscopy, neutron activation, atomic absorption, and spark source mass spectroscopy. Ores, smelts, native copper, and artifacts from the Middle East, South America, Europe and North America were analyzed by neutron activation. This is concluded to be the best method for this purpose, although spark source mass spectroscopy may prove to be superior. See also 8-1620. -- AATA
