Abstract
The absorbance and fluorescence spectra of Isuasphaero fossils in cherty layers of a quartzite of southwestern Greenland, radiodated at 3,770,000 years, indicate the presence of carotenes and porphyrins. The quartzite was compact and unweathered. The fossils were impregnated with chalcedony. The morphology of the finds indicates an organism. -- AATA
