Abstract
In addition to determination of the alloy's composition by AAS, small samples from different areas of the statue Jüngling vom Magdalensberg (Vienna, Austria), were taken for metallographic analysis. Information on the thermal history of the alloy was obtained. Comments on the surprisingly small amount of corrosion products on a sample from the statue's interior and on preliminary results from recasting experiments. Colour micrographs, phase diagrams, SEM micrographs, EDX microanalysis, references.
