Abstract
The author is concerned with standardizing the tests for strength of paper that has been treated with various conservation techniques and materials. The tappi and afnor standards were used. The paper tested was afnor vii/ 1, a 100 percent chemical pulp paper. The tests were physical, chemical and optical.
