Analysis of shell artifacts from NW Sonora, Mexico, has established the presence of a tradition of percussion flaking Dosinia bivalves. Specimens include scrapers, serrates, and gouges. Replication experiments indicate systmatic platform preparation and serial flaking were employed to make tools. -- AATA
