Abstract
Olive and Pearson discuss their experiences with both on-site and laboratory conservation of ceramic artifacts recovered from two submerged Dutch East Indian wrecks. The necessity of keeping the pieces wet is emphasized for on-site conservation. The advantages of the adhesive, Uhu, are noted. Removal of concretions, salt contamination or stains is discussed.
