This article was written to discuss the practical problems that were in volved in controlling museum climate for a temporary exhibition of Japanese art. The background of the exhibition and the conditions to which the objects were subjected in Japan were described. These conditions had to be taken into account in preparing for the exhibit in Toronto. For a period of several months inside and outside of the museum were checked. A suitable room was chosen and changes were made in the humidification, air conditioning and air flow of the room to achieve conditions as close as possible to the conditions from which the objects were coming. The author describes the steps and processes involved in making these changes. See also AATA 15-106.
