This publication covers methods of salvaging water-damaged library and archive materials. It discusses the possibility of freezing materials, with subsequent drying, and of drying by conventional interleaving. There are short sections on salvage of single sheets and of photographic materials. Emphasis is placed on having a plan of action in case of water damage, and in being well organized during the actual salvage operation. Appendices list sources of assistance and sources of services and supplies.
