Abstract
The author describes the adaptation of a technique for removal of old starch paste from paper to make it suitable for use on textiles. Alpha-amylase, Bacterial Amylase Novo thickened using Laponite RD acidified to pH7, was used to remove old backings adhered with starch paste from water sensitive textiles.
