Abstract
Fragmentary bronze sheets, acquired by the British Museum in 1865, were mounted as a shield then reconstructed as a throne. The throne restoration was remounted when a recent academic study was undertaken. The treatment report describes the condition and previous restoration, dismantling and investigation, and reconstruction of the throne. Galvanised iron wire netting was chosen as the new support, which was covered on each side with polyester resin. Bondafiller polyester resin filled gaps between fragments. Photographs, references.
