Abstract
The restoration project of the Tomb Gate of Ming Xian Ling was used as a study of the preservation of historical architecture in the urbanization of a modern city. The use of steel structures in modern construction was studied for its practical usefulness in such projects. The study proved the feasibility of using steel structures and its friendliness to both historical authenticity and the innovative use of modern structure methods.
