Abstract
In selecting preservatives for wooden artifacts, tests were conducted on four preservatives; ML-208, MV+OP-10, prochloraz and tebuconazole. The results showed that each had different loss-resistance. ML-208 had the best result Prochloraz was better than Tebuconazole and MV+OP-10 was the worst. While the loss-resistance of MV+OP-10 was poor, it retained high antiseptic ability after scouring by rainwater. Loss-resistance of ML-208 was strong but its prevention of mould was poor.
