The Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material formulated a submission to the Australian government's Committee of Inquiry on Museums and National Collections in which it called for the creation of a National Conservation Programme, including a Central Conservation Institute for Australia, plus Regional Laboratories. It also recommended that a Conservation School be established in a College of Advanced Education. -- AATA
