The staff of the <i>Archival Security Newsletter, and Alex Ladenson (legal counsel to the SAA Archival Security Program) present a draft of a ten point model law relating to library and archives theft. Shop-lifting detention statutes are a basis for this model. A similar law was passed in Virginia in 1975, and other states are taking legislative action. -- AATA
