Abstract
Samples 82, 80, and 74 corresponding in order to the centers at Augst, Baden and Bern have been studied from the point of view of their chemical and mineralogical characteristics. Most of the ceramics at Augst and Bern contain little CaO (0-4% of weight). Those at Baden, however, contain greater quantity of CaO (x-8% of weight). By means of correlation diagrams like Zr/Cr or other technical means like Discriminatory Analysis we can tell apart the objects found at each of the center. Thus the Terra Sigillata sample found at Augst can be said to come from Baden. The firing temperature of most of the samples has been determined by Phase Analysis. This has been measured to be 850 degrees and 950 degrees C. for Baden and Bern, and between 950 degrees and 1050 degrees for Augst.
