Abstract
The collection contains more than 300 primitive Italian paintings. Some special problems: changes in the wood, cracked canvases, several layers of paint, damaged frames. In retouch tratteggio, glacis, pointillism and mixed methods were used. It was often decided not to restore at all -- the signs of ageing and traces of functional use were not disguised. These are all religious pictures. Describes some special cases. See also 16-194. -- AATA
