The determination of the pH of textile products, which is frequently used in processing control programs, is influenced by the quality of the water used, the extraction bath ratio, the extraction temperature and by the degree of mechanical action applied. The effect of these parameters is outlined and a determination based on DIN 54 275 is described. -- AATA
