This preprint is of a report to have been presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Testing Materials held in 1969 on the subjects of paint, varnish, lacquer, and related products. Areas covered are: IR identification of vehicle solids from solvent type paints; standards for testing; solvent and fuel resistance of traffic paint; organic coatings on wood substrates; deformation of organic coatings; determination of fatty acid composition by gas chromatography, leveling characteristics of paints, corrosion resistance of organic coatings on metal; purity of methyl ethyl ketones by gas chromatography; and hiding power of paints.
