This file is a publicity packet regarding the American Freedom Train of 1976. The 24 car steam powered train was considered a living documentary on wheels going where the people are and condensing 200 years of American experience and achievement into a series of dramatic tableaux. It left Boston in April 1975 for a 21 month journey across the U.S. visiting a total of 76 cities and 48 of the 50 states.
