Abstract
Natural thermoluminescence (NTL) of the mineral scapolite has been investigated revealing, in agreement with other workers, that scapolite exhibits strong NTL. NTL shows two strong TL peaks in the region 300-500°C and weak peaks below 300°C. Analysis of the two strong TL peaks by curve fitting demonstrated that both the peaks follow second order kinetics.
