Abstract
Physical and chemical tests have been carried out on bricks of old masonry walls in order to study rising damp, water content, porosity and salt content. Salt removal tests on single bricks have been carried out by immersion in fresh water. Measurements of the conductivity of distilled water extracts allow regulation of the efficiency of de-salting processes. -- AATA
