Abstract
The author reconstructs stringing methods used in Egyptian Broad Collars made of faience beads. Confirmation is provided by excavated collars from the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms. The basic collar consists of rows of vertically oriented cylindrical beads attached to terminals; some collars have intervening rows of disc beads or spacers. Diagrams illustrate double stringing for simple collars, and interconnected sewing or interthreading for collars with disc beads. -- AATA
