Abstract
Late Bronze Age bichrome ceramicware ( Midianite ) was studied to elucidate the method of manufacture and the extent of contact with neighboring cultures.. The study was based on three sherds, two from Yotvata, lsrael, and one from Amman, Jordan. Suggestions for manufacturing techniques are derived from the orientation of nonplastics (temper) and clay flow, temper size, quantity and type, rotation direction, surface finish and decoration, and drying and firing. The authors attribute the pottery to unprofessional potters who were not involved with the daily or even seasonal task of potting. -- AATA
