A brief history of the tilemakers Maw and Company, Jackfield, Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire, is given. Its present owner, Telford Development Corporation, is turning a portion of it into a museum which is due to open in 1982. Large decorative tiles have been dismantled from various sites, conserved, and installed in the museum. Treatment details not given. They are also making tiles from nineteenth century molds. -- AATA
