Abstract
The work in publishing a facsimile edition of the Nag Hammadi codices has been complicated by the problem of the reconstruction of the papyrus leaves. The different methods of codex reconstruction are described briefly: use of parallel texts, use of conjectural reconstructions of lacunae, use of early photographs, the use of profile, and the use of the physical characteristics of the papyrus. The last method was utilized extensively in this project and is fully explained; the construction of an inexpensive light table is described.
