Abstract
Report on a decorated leather jerkin that was recovered from an excavation in groningen, the netherlands. Excavated parts are described and illustrated. Steps in drying and impregnation with an oil solution are described. To preserve the leather, it is considered necessary to repeat the oil impregnation treatment every ten years.
