Discusses the painting by Edgar Degas entitled <i>A visit to the Museum, owned by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Its broad handling gives an unfinished appearance. Radiographs reveal no later reworking of the composition, except for a minor change in the position of the lower edge of the frame at right. A brief discussion follows of Degas' working technique, as observed by a contemporary, with some speculation as to the techniques used in this painting. -- AATA
