Abstract
Traces the origin and genesis of the German fayences in the collection of the Hetjens Museum, Düsseldorf. German production flourished between 1700 and 1770 contemporarily with the products of Delft. Fayences production followed the same evolution as that of contemporary porcelain, even if the different technique yielded less refined results. -- AATA
