Abstract
Twelve examples of Ban Chiang pottery, dated from before 2000 B. C. to A.D. 200 were studied by macroscopic examination, by petrographic methods including heavy mineral analysis, and by refiring studies associated with scanning electron microscopy. The results are presented and discussed in terms of those aspects of the technology that changed and those that did not. See also AATA 22-2373.
