Third International Conference: Colour and Conservation, Materials and Method in the Conservation of Polychrome Artworks
Abstract
The consolidation of three-dimensional wooden objects – either deprived or coated with polychromy – which are damaged by insects, with the exception of structural and archaeological wooden objects, is still a critical operation. Many doubts remain on the modalities, on the most adequate material, as well as on the effectiveness of the treatment.
