Abstract
Computer tomography is a very useful technique for the non-destructive analysis of works of art. It makes getting information on soft material contained inside objects made of hard material possible; for instance, bone in a terracotta vase, or even a paper scroll in a hollow cast bronze statuette can be made visible.
