Abstract
The 17th century saw an essential rise in the industrial development of Tallinn, Estonia. Among others, the guild of tanners was founded and officially announced in 1668. The guild case in question, however, is dated to 1667. Authenticity of the piece was tested by stylistic analysis. The author describes the analysis and treatment necessary for the restoration of the valuable piece of craft and industrial history.
