Abstract
The possibility of applying the GIS technique to the management and conservation of Longmen Grottoes was analyzed and reasoned. Then, the standards and requests of constructing a conservation system of Longmen Grottoes with GIS technique were discussed; and a detailed process of constructing the system was described. Also, possible applications of CMIS to the Longmen Grottoes were included.
