Abstract
The tensile or breaking strength of commercial paraffin wax was investigated at temperatures between -10 degrees and 30 degrees C. It varies considerably with the temperature, reaching a maximum value of 32 kg. per sq. cm. at about 3 degrees C. The density was also measured over the same temperature interval. There appeared to be no direct linear relationships between the two quantities measured.
