Abstract
The conservation of archaeological leather is a lengthy process during which the archaeologist has little chance of studying the material. For this reason and as part of the conservation records it is important that careful drawings are made of the leather objects before treatment. At Kulturen, Lund, this documentation is done by the conservation department. Techniques are described along with suggestions for achieving consistency. See also AATA 20-2331.
