Abstract
A definition of cultural property is re-evaluated for the often abruptly changing tropical areas. The choice of cultural property to be conserved and recorded depends not only on aesthetic factors but also on economic, social, and scientific factors. Public involvement, legislation, and trained technicians and professionals are needed for conservation work. See also AATA 15-197.
