Abstract
The restoration of terracotta on buildings is a difficult problem: buildings have been damaged in the past owing to inadequate repair or flaws in construction. The author makes a thorough study of the elements composing the material before examining one by one the measures to be adopted for preserving and restoring it: cleaning, bonding, reassembly, replastering and consolidation.
