Abstract
The author deals with the tricky problem of the raising and removal of historic buildings made of stone or brick. The Pynford Method, which consists of using wooden supports to underpin walls and floors, has been used for three buildings, in Norway or the United Kingdom. The author also proposes a scheme for raising the Tower of Pisa to the vertical, illustrated with graphs. -- AATA
