A description of the problems of preservation of albums and tapes, especially phonodiscs, magnetic tape and wax cylinders. Cleanliness and correct storage against physical damage, a careful control of constant temperature and relative humidity values, and the establishment of a library policy for maintenance and care of the collection are emphasized. A useful list of references is given.
