Abstract
The statue in polychromed limestone comes from the former cathedral of Bruges. Thanks to the original polychromy now brought to light, it is possible to ascertain its Bruges origin also on stylistic ground. A full description is given of the original polychromy, which is of a rather unusual type, the garments being made of glossy ivory white lined with blue.
