Abstract
Marble specimens were impregnated with epoxy resins at several centimeters' depth. Both impregnated and non-impregnated specimens were subjected to 3000 ppm SO2 atmospheres in a dynamic system. X-ray diffraction and fluorescence studies were used to determine the deterioration quantitatively.
